The Öhlins TTX Pro Coilover System for the BMW G8X M2, M3, and M4 is the highest-performance suspension package Öhlins offers for these platforms. Built around Öhlins' TTX — Twin Tube eXtreme — technology and combining a TTX46 front damper with a TTX36 rear damper, this kit represents the full depth of Öhlins' 40-plus years of racing development in Formula 1, IndyCar, and MotoGP, packaged for road-legal use on the G8X chassis.
TTX technology uses a twin-tube damper architecture where an inner working tube and outer reserve tube regulate fluid flow with high precision across all shaft speeds encountered on circuit. The TTX46 front units deliver the high-force capacity demanded by the M car's front suspension geometry, while the TTX36 rear units provide precise damping control through the multilink system. Each damper features independent compression and rebound adjusters, allowing the driver or engineer to separately tune each phase of damping for a specific track, tire, or driving preference.
Öhlins' temperature-compensating design maintains consistent damping output as fluid temperatures rise during sustained track use. All G8X M-cars are equipped with Öhlins EDC from the factory; the TTX Pro system replaces that setup entirely, requiring an EDC cancellation kit to suppress dashboard warnings.
Ride height adjustment range is 10–25mm, independent of spring preload, enabling corner-weight and rake adjustments without altering the engineered spring characteristics.
