MMX Performance G8X / F8X Rear Differential Polyurethane Rear Bushing
The MMX Performance G8X / F8X Rear Differential Polyurethane Rear Bushing (MMR55-1603) is a direct replacement for the factory rear differential mounting bushing on the BMW F87 M2, F80 M3, F82 / F83 M4, G87 M2, G80 / G81 M3, and G82 / G83 M4. Manufactured from 80A durometer grey polyurethane with a black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum sleeve, the bushing provides a more controlled connection between the rear differential and chassis while reducing unwanted differential movement under load.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for the factory rear bushing, MMR55-1603 installs into the existing differential mounting location without cutting, drilling, or permanent modification. The firmer polyurethane construction provides increased differential control while maintaining a minimal increase in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), making it suitable for both street and track-driven F8X and G8X applications.
Second Rear Differential Mounting Point:
A second MMR55-1603 bushing can also be used when adding an MMX Dual Differential Mount. The Dual Differential Mount adds a second rear differential mounting point, allowing two MMR55-1603 bushings to support the rear of the differential.
The Dual Differential Mount is chassis-specific: BMW F8X M2 / M3 / M4 applications use the MMX F8X Dual Differential Mount (MMR55-1001), while BMW G8X M2 / M3 / M4 applications use the MMX G8X Dual Differential Mount (MMR55-1606). The MMR55-1603 polyurethane bushing itself is compatible with both systems.
MMR55-1603 bushings are sold individually. Two bushings are required when configuring the rear differential with the appropriate chassis-specific MMX Dual Differential Mount.

Notes:
- MMR55-1603 is compatible with both the F8X and G8X differential mounting systems.
- For F87 M2, F80 M3, and F82 / F83 M4 applications, use the MMX F8X Dual Differential Mount (MMR55-1001).
- For G87 M2, G80 / G81 M3, and G82 / G83 M4 applications, use the MMX G8X Dual Differential Mount (MMR55-1606).
- MMR55-1603 retains the standard differential mounting height. It is not the MMX raised differential bushing.
